Call it a celebration of fashion in all its elements and you would be right, as the ‘2022 Guaranty Trust (GTCO) Fashion Weekend’ which held last week at the GT Centre Lagos lit up the city.

Interesting sections that brought to light the thematic preoccupation of the 5th edition of the event ‘The Future of Fashion Retail’, include master classes, free retail stalls, street wear village and exhibitions.

The two-day event naturally climaxed during the runway shows which was more of a celebration of the best of Nigeria and international designers’ creative collections than the regular runway in fashion shows.

This peculiarity was depicted by models who gracefully wore debuted collections by designers whilst dancing rather than the usual catwalk on runways, bringing excitement and glow in the faces of fashion leaders, industry experts around the world and guests in the runway space.

The venue was filled to capacity, leaving hundreds of fashion lovers who gorgeously dressed for the event to watch from the projection screen outside.
