If there’s one thing that’s had the world in a collective chokehold recently, it’s, hands down, Netflix’s Wednesday series. Inspired by the iconic The Addams Family franchise and starring the ever-so-captivating Jenna Ortega, the new series follows everyone’s favorite goth girlie, Wednesday Addams, as she explores ~teen life~ (or, well, Tim Burton’s quirky, dark version of that) while away at a spooky, supernatural boarding school for “outcasts”.

Murder(s), mysteries, and an ancestral bloodline wrapped up in centuries of family trauma (relatable), it’s a helluva good time! Not to mention, the series even broke records for the number of hours people watched the show in a single week. Clearly, the binge-worthy show is incredible—but so are the costumes, my friend. And we’re here with how to recreate Wednesday‘s outfits for ya. Can I get a *snap snap*?

Of course, they had to do the iconic Wednesday Addams uniform—but with a 2022 upgrade. In the new series, the classic, Peter Pan collar dress got a refresh with polka-dot florals. And honestly, you could get away with wearing it during most times of the year. Wear it bare-legged with strappy heels during the summer or with tights and tall boots during the winter. Let’s also not forget the pigtail braids and dark nail polish!

Comfy can most definitely still be cute, and Wednesday definitely proved it in this episode with her layered zip-up hoodies. The best part is you probably already own some (if not all) of these pieces. But if you don’t, no worries. Okay, fine, maybe not really—but you can’t tell me that it doesn’t check every single box of the moody, scholarly trend. If you thought this type of look is only suitable for the office or a work event, think again. With just a few adjustments, like a shorter skirt or a loose tie, you could step out in this ‘fit for a night out, or, hey, a cheeky lil final boss battle (IDK, just throwing out some ideas). Whatever the occasion, Wednesday knows this look is fire heat flames.

I think I can speak for everyone when I say that our jaws dropped and stayed on the floor when Wednesday came down the staircase in this stunning frock. The tulle! The sheer! The poof. The way she can make a simple long-sleeve tee, turtleneck, and puffer vest look so fab while super-sleuthin’ is beyond me. Thankfully though, this is a piece of cake to DIY. I wouldn’t even be surprised if you had these basic three items in your closet already! So if you didn’t think about wearing all these together or if you still need ’em in your life, take this as your sign to make this whole situation happen. Pair it with denim bottoms, trousers, or even sweats and you’ll be #serving regardless.

Okay, yes, I know this isn’t technically Wednesday. But it is Jenna as the most bad-ass ancestral ghost we’ve seen in a while, Goody Addams. Point being, this old-timey, er, gown, is absolutely gorgeous. Sorry, couldn’t find an exact dupe, but feel free to peep the gray corset dress below that’s a pretty great 21st-century alternative. And if you’d rather have a blouse version of it, I gotchu too. Pro tip: Amp up the ghostly vibes with some shimmery blue makeup.

Wednesday said a cropped leather jacket that’s perfect for a spot o’ interrogation is what’s missing from your closet, and all you do is listen and buy.
