Arket’s Most-Coveted Jumper Is Finally Back in Stock
I don’t want to sound like a fashion cliché, but I think I’ve fallen in love with a jumper. To be fair, the knit in question has all the attributes I’m looking for: It’s striped, loose-fitting and, crucially, looks way more expensive than it is. The piece I’m referring to is Arket’s striped cotton jumper, and it costs £69. You may even be very familiar with this classic knit by now, because this is in fact the third year Arket has restocked the jumper after sellout success. I (along with the rest of the Who What Wear team who haven’t manage to nab it yet) have been waiting for this new drop ever since last autumn. It’s not really surprising that we’re all falling over ourselves for this high-street item considering it is very similar to the incredibly expensive Celine version, so this feels like a real bargain.
This time, there are three versions of the v-neck jumper for us to choose from: a cream jumper with thin black horizontal stripes (a classic breton style if you will); a brand new version for 2023 which has thicker, more graphic vertical stripes (chic) and last year’s version which has wider horizontal stripes (and is currently still sold out). There’s also a very similar cashmere style with a navy base, and some round-neck styles too. I love the idea of wearing the OG with a pair of smart wide trousers and ankle boots for now, but when spring hits I’ll also be throwing it on with jeans and Birkenstocks—then switching them out for denim shorts come summer.
If you want more tips on how to style it, then you’re in luck. Over the years, numerous stylish women have been seen wearing the item with trench coats, trousers and jeans. In fact, stylist Hannah Lewis wore hers with a pair of black shorts, black sandals and a Prada bag—a seriously elevated spring outfit. Keep scrolling to shop the jumper and see more outfit ideas, and shop other striped jumpers we love, too.
