The Throwback Top Trend I’m Fully Investing in This Spring

For 2023, my aim is to be as self-disciplined as possible when it comes to shopping trends. While I think designers should keep pushing towards a more timeless approach to design that prioritises longevity (hello, quiet luxury), it can be too easy to demonise the concept of “trends” as a whole. Ultimately, reinvention is what makes fashion so exciting. The key is just focusing on pieces that remain true to your personal style, and don’t run the risk of being worn once and then discarded. With this thought in mind, I’ve been thinking about the trends that are coming up for this spring/summer and making a shortlist of styles that will slip into my pre-existing wardrobe with ease. My first point of call? The waistcoat.
