Sporting Culture-Inspired Streetwear – La Martina Drew Inspiration from Sports for the Field 85 (TrendHunter.com)

The Field 85 silhouettes by the Argentinian brand La Martina have garnered a lot of attention in the streetwear world. This is an inaugural footwear release for the label which specializes in contemporary polo shirts.

The name of the chic and sporty sneakers references La Martina’s founding year and “the values it stands for.” The brand drew inspiration from a sporting concept called ‘Field of Plenty’ which recognizes “the magical community and die-hard fan culture” within the industry. The Field 85 take on the sensibilities of some “legendary basketball shoes” from the 80s era, as well, and this creates a very sophisticated sporty feel for the aesthetic. The upper of the footwear is crafted out of premium leather that certainly brings the craftsmanship level up.
