9 Chic and Wearable Street Style Trends Coming Out of Paris Right Now
Couture Fashion Week is in full swing in Paris this week and my, what a fashion spectacle this season is turning out to be. The industry’s chicest members have descended in the City of Lights for a slew of shows which showcase the fantastical, one-off pieces designers have been dreaming up for the past few months. The runway looks tend to be even more directional, wonderful, outlandish and, sometimes, absurd, than what we typically see during the Ready-to-Wear shows that are held in February and September respectively and, often, for the couture circuit, show attendees will turn out in statement outfits of their own, which, yes, can be incredible, but really don’t have any basis in reality.
That said, this summer I’ve noticed the street style trends coming out of Paris’s Couture Fashion Week are more, for lack of a better word, wearable than ever. Wearable as in you could throw them on to go out for dinner without the risk of tripping up your waiter with a gargantuan train or poking someone in the eye with an extreme headpiece. Instead, I’ve been impressed at the simpler but no-less stylish outfits showgoers have been sporting, and I think you will be, too.
First things first, there’s a lot of pink which, let’s face it, really shouldn’t come as a surprise at this point. There’s also a focus on a certain type of shoe; one we’ve seen bubbling up over the past few weeks. It’s also important to note there is still a reliance on the classics.
